Cap and Gown Session in Wynwood Walls

I don’t really like the “what’s your favorite” questions. I never have a definitive answer. I like to think that it’s because I’m such an optimist that I see good options about many choices. BUT, if I had to choose my favorite place to shoot portrait sessions in Miami, so far I would say Wynwood Walls.

Wynwood Walls is definitely a character in its own right. It has its own storyline. But it plays well with others and its own story sets a perfect backdrop for the humans and their accounts that they want to record. Take Christina’s, for example.

Christina is a goal setter. So much more — she achieves those goals. After years of hard work, and sacrifice, and putting her family’s needs first, Christina is graduating with her bachelor’s degree. She’s also a competitive marathon runner. In the couple times that I have met with her I’ve also realized that she is a life-lover, devoted mother, adoring wife, and a motivator. She may not even realize that last characteristic. It’s hard to not be encouraged to work hard towards your own goals once spending some time with her though.

The Walls’ vibrancy and edginess complements Christina’s personality to a t. They played off each other perfectly and the images we captured are a testament to both.

I wish Christina all the success in the world and a continued fullness of the passion of life. May we all have that kind of fire!
