Spring Forward

I couldn’t be more excited about the warmer weather and longer days. Who’s with me!? I’m prepping my very first raised bed gardens and will be planting in them soon. I’d love any advice on raised bed gardening!

Quick Photo Hack - Give yourself space

Want to immediately look a little slimmer in photos? Create some space between your arms and your body. If your arms are stuck to your sides in a photo, the viewer sees one object — a “larger” body. If there is some separation between your arms and body the eye sees two objects, a slimmer body and slimmer arms.

Rest your hand on a couch arm or bar or table. If there’s no prop near you, place your hands on your hips or pull a Kate Middleton. Bend the elbows and hold fingertips.

Just that little bit of space and separation between body parts does wonders!

Meet Ares! We adopted this 11-year old “aggressive cuddler” in February and are smitten. We’d like to call him Ferris (as in Bueller) but he doesn’t even answer to his given name. We’ll take all the snuggles though!

Closing Question

I was serious about raised bed gardening tips! Being in the military for 28 years, our average length of stay in one house was 2 years. There was no time to grow a fruitful garden, and therefore I feel like I have a brown thumb. I’m so excited that we’re planting roots in the NoVA area and would love your gardening tips!

(All puns intended, lol)
